Mono (Mononucleosis)

Mononucleosis, commonly known as mono or the “kissing disease,” is a viral infection most often caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It typically affects teens and young adults, causing fatigue, sore throat, fever, and swollen lymph nodes. While there’s no specific cure, rest, hydration, and symptom management help most people recover fully within a few weeks.
