Herpes Simplex

Herpes simplex is a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), which comes in two types: HSV-1 (oral herpes) and HSV-2 (genital herpes). It causes painful blisters or sores, often around the mouth or genitals, and can be transmitted through close personal contact. While there's no cure, antiviral medications can manage symptoms and reduce the risk of transmission.
