Epstein-Barr Virus

The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a common herpesvirus that infects most people at some point in their lives. It’s best known for causing infectious mononucleosis, or “mono,” but is also linked to other conditions like chronic fatigue and certain cancers. While there’s no cure, most EBV infections resolve with rest, fluids, and symptom management.
