Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome is a rare condition in which one or more tumors, called gastrinomas, form in the pancreas or duodenum and cause the stomach to produce excessive acid. This can lead to severe peptic ulcers, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Treatment typically includes acid-reducing medications and, in some cases, surgery to remove the tumors.
