Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the inner lining of the colon and rectum. It is a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) that causes persistent inflammation and ulcers in the large intestine, leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding. Although its exact cause is unknown, UC is believed to result from a combination of genetic, immune, and environmental factors.
