Sinus Infection

A sinus infection, or sinusitis, occurs when the tissue lining the sinuses becomes inflamed due to a virus, bacteria, or allergies. It often causes facial pain, nasal congestion, and thick mucus discharge. Treatment may include rest, nasal sprays, or antibiotics, depending on the cause.
